1. What inspired you to create this vacation escape?
Since we were young, we have always vacationed as a family to Door County - from camping on the Peninsula to visiting our cousins in Egg Harbor. We love the area and wanted to offer a place for other families to experience Door County and the awesome seasons it offers.
2. Are there any unique themes or stories behind any of the properties that you would like to share?
The location is the biggest "plus" with our place, you can walk anywhere you want in Egg Harbor. It is a short stroll to the beach, marina, shops, restaurants, library, concerts, and more!
3. Do you have any partnerships with local businesses that you would like to highlight? Or are there any local places you like to recommend to guests?
We have many recommendations that can be found in our welcome booklet for folks that stay at our place. It includes activities, beaches, coffee, food, drinks, and more. Our place is family friendly, so we encourage families to stay and enjoy our space, just as we did as kids.
4. What makes your property different from other rentals in the area?
Our place is owned by a local family, born and raised in Northeast Wisconsin - we love that about our place. We love keeping this house in our family and now are opening it up to guests and their friends and family.
5. What is the most challenging aspect of putting together your place? What is the most rewarding?
The most challenging is trying to make it accommodate the larger groups we offer this special place to. We have things that are great for families with children but also understand friend groups love the space too - so we want to welcome all groups. The most rewarding is reading the reviews in our journal that come directly from the folks that have stayed there. It is rewarding to read how they were able to enjoy Door County.
6. Are there any unique amenities that you are proud of?
The back porch offers a quick step out to relaxation, while the back deck off the garage offers amazing harbor views and space for everyone to spend time together.
7. What kind of experiences would you like guests to walk away with after staying with you?
We want them to love Door County as much as we do and continue to want to come back and experience more of it - you can never get it all in on just one trip!
