In the late 19th century, overnight train travel was a modern fad. The rich and famous could skip around the country in luxurious and comfortable train boxcars and soak in a relatively new way of overnight travel. Today, travel is much easier and faster, but we think the train car holds a certain nostalgia that an overnight Sleep in one is a truly fun way to spend a vacation! Pullman Train Car in the Texas Hill Country

Fredericksburg, Texas. 1 Bedroom, 2 Bathrooms, Sleeps 2.

If you love history, this is the perfect stay for you! This train car was built in 1894 by Pullman for Quanah, Acme and Pacific railroad. Before being converted to a short term rental, the car was used by Theodore Roosevelt when he visited the 6666 Ranch in North Texas as well as the Indian Chief Quanah Parker! Come stay in this cute tiny house caboose in beautiful Joseph, Oregon. The hosts have converted the caboose into a comfortable self-contained tiny house complete with kitchen, shower, and toilet. They can comfortably accommodate up to 4 adults with one double bed and two bunk beds. The Caboose is located at The Depot - a multi-space Airbnb property that features four rental spaces, a small coffeeshop and store, a small farm and herb garden, and a BBQ food truck! The hosts also have live music and events throughout the summer! They are open to the local community as well as guests, so it is a very busy, extremely fun place to hang and meet new friends! It has a living room, kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave and toaster oven. It also has a Keurig coffee pot. The bedroom has a comfy queen sized bed. It also has a full bathroom with shower. Restored 1909 Train Car on 145 Acres

This restored 1909 train car is so stunning, but the view from the property makes it hard for us to decide whether the inside or outside is more beautiful! Here you can stay in a restored 1909 train car, under a recreated depot roof. Set amid forest and wheat fields with beautiful views. Spectacular night skies and lots of solitude round out the experience. This car ran on the Washington Idaho & Montana Railway from 1909 until around 1955. It was, (and is), car number 306, bought new from the American Car and Foundry Co. The host’s spent the first half of 2020 moving and restoring this beauty back to glory.
